Easy Cheesy cheesemaking workshops, Sunshine Coast

Hello, my name is Dawn Couchman and I own and operate Easy Cheesy where I run  short (half-day), fun and informative workshops on how to make soft cheese and other dairy products using simple kitchen equipment. The workshops are run in a purpose built kitchen on our property which is located near the village of Cooran in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland in Queensland. I am an experienced master cheese maker and I enjoy being able to pass on some very easy cheese recipes to you in a relaxed and fun atmosphere using quality local ingredients.

My workshops cater for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 people and include a delicious morning tea and your own hand-made cheese and yoghurt to take home – you will be able to say to your friends and family I made this cheese myself!. A unique way to spend a morning enjoying the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and a great activity to include in your touring itinerary. Doing a cheese making workshop is a fun activity for small groups too.

  1. Hi Dawn
When Rebecca from Design Divaz did our website noosahinterlandblueberrycottages just before xmas she put you on our page. I would be interested in doing a workshop in the coming months. I can do my butter and yoghurt in the thermomix but would love to be able to make some cheese. Hoping to get a milking cow soon. Do you have any flyers to put in our cabins on your workshops, also do you offer any discounts for our paying guests. Cheers Kim

  2. Hello,
I saw your car at Graceville in Brisbane on Sunday but when I looked you up it seems you only give classes at the Sunshine Coast. Any possibility for classes closer to Brisbane? I am a foodie plus so would love to learn some of the skills you have to offer. Thanks,Anita

    1. Hi Anita,
Thanks for contacting me – unfortunately I have my cheese kitchen set up at our property on the Sunshine Coast and I run the workshops there. I have taken my gear off site to run a workshop at a local accommodation place – but they had a group of 6 who were interested and a large commercial kitchen to work in. You will have to come up and see me – its only a couple of hours from Brisbane and you could make a weekend of it and stay at a local B&B 🙂 Kind regards, Dawn
